Imagine being able to give low res transcoded footage to director/assistant editors etc., and them being able to mark the footage , add comments, markers and at the end sync this with an existing Avid project? Edit8 allows that by round tripping with Avid using AAF , which perfectly links to existing source clips later on. Now editors can expect directors to watch footage in their spare time and add markers without having Avid installed on their machine, and sync these comments with Avid source clips.Edit8 Transcriber not only facilitates automatic transcription using Google Speech recognition engine, but at the same time, it allows users to manually add markers, comments to Avid source clips outside Avid environment.
