Why does ADR get a bad reputation especially amongst actors and directors who say “it just doesn’t work” or “it is never as good as the original”? In my experience, bad ADR primarily comes down to the performance of the actor in the studio on the ADR record day but there are other factors that can play a part. Are the correct mics being used?
