I had the honour of joining Marc Hamaker and Maurice Patel from Autodesk at NAB 2013. We talked about the big releases that Autodesk announced as well as how the different product lines Autodesk build help to influence each other. (There is a slight hum on the recording, we’ve removed most of it but it does make the occasional appearance.) Key Announcements from Autodesk: Autodesk/Blackmagic Design Technology Collaboration - the two companies intend to collaborate on future integrations between Blackmagic Design technology and Autodesk technology. This collaboration will build seamless workflows for customers in the professional video, television and commercial post-production industries. Autodesk 2014 Entertainment Creation Suites - Autodesk announced the new features of the Autodesk Entertainment Creation Suite 2014 today. The versatile workflow includes award-winning 3D animation, visual effects and creative tools, Autodesk Maya 2014, Autodesk 3ds Max 2014, Autodesk MotionBuilder 2014, Autodesk Mudbox 2014, Autodesk Softimage 2014 and Autodesk Sketchbook Designer 2014, all which have been updated to offer new workflow enhancements that help artists collaborate, manage complexity and move data through their pipeline more efficiently. Make sure to check out the Autodesk Nabshow 2013 site to see great videos on everything they announced! If you have questions, tweet them @autodesk.
