The latest update to Boinx Software’s stop motion animation software for the Mac now offers live view support for DSLR cameras from Nikon and Canon. Beta-tested and App Store-approved, iStopMotion 3.6 adds support for the Nikon D5100, Nikon D5200, Nikon D7100 and Nikon D800 DSLR, so animators using these cameras can now enjoy the greatest feature of iStopMotion: Onion Skinning. The live preview with semi-transparent ghost image overlay allows animators to see their next shot and make even the tiniest of adjustments before capturing the frame.
