In a summer of some major studio missteps, the zombie-themed WORLD WAR Z (WWZ) has achieved solid international success by crossing the $500 million mark. The film, starring Brad Pitt and directed by Marc Forster is based on the popular novel by Max Brooks about a pandemic in which massive armies of the undead threaten to destabilize the world.
