Dan Lebental brings us TouchEdit, which is a new approach to what iMovie, Vimeo, etc. have been attempting to do. He's created a frame accurate, professional app for film editors. The goal, as he says in this interview is not to replace the editing NLE but to make this a tool in your toolbox. If you are called to set, or have to be there, utilize this app, get a sense of the scene cut roughly, then bring it into your NLE and continue editing. If you want to learn more, go to http://www.toucheditapp.com, follow them on Twitter or go to their Facebook page.

Dan Lebental is renowned for his work on Iron Man 1 and 2, Cowboys and Aliens and of course Elf. Now he brings the editing room to the iPad with TouchEdit, a professional editing app that has become an important part of his editing experience.
