I’ve never been to film editing school, but I’m pretty sure that if there is such a thing, they’re teaching the Mexican standoff scene from Sergio Leone’s THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY. You know the scene I’m talking about, it comes right at the film’s climax and involves the characters portrayed by Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef, and Eli Wallach locked in a staring contest over just who’s going to walk away with the loot.
