HPA to recognize Avid with special award

LOS ANGELES — The Hollywood Post Alliance will present Avid with the 2013 Charles S. Swartz Award for “Outstanding Contribution in the Field of Post Production.” The award will be presented at the 8th Annual HPA Awards, which is set to take place on November 7, at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. Louis Hernandez, Jr., president and CEO of Avid, is expected to be on-hand to accept the award on behalf of the company.
