VoiceQ 2.0 voice synchronisation software speeds up the dialogue creation and replacement process in the postproduction stage of film and television production.
This modern update on the rythmo band process used in
France since the 1920’s, retains the basic method of presenting dialogue to the
actor, while greatly easing costs and preparation time. Superimposed over the video, the software scrolls the script across
the screen and the actor/voice-over artist reads the words when they hit the
target line. Scrolling text over video offers actors and technicians a
frame-accurate cue for every word, every line, every time, ensuring the artist
is always in sync with the lip movements of the actor on screen, which
ultimately enhances performance levels and reduces recording time.
The software has been described by industry commentator Patrick Jong
Taylor as “breathing new life into an old process from the early days of sound
… pulling the rythmo band into the
digital age.â€
Allan Schollnick begins his new role as VP North America Business
Development September 14; and in October will showcase VoiceQ 2.0 at the SMPTE
Technical Conference in Hollywood and the AES Convention in New York, where the
company will be a partner in the Avid Pavilion.
