Avid’s new version of its Media Composer software, Media Composer 5, has some of the most substantial changes to the product in years. From the ability to access many different media types, including QuickTime and RED files natively (without having to transcode), to support for RTAS audio plug-ins, this new release is poised to be a big success by giving editors more power and flexibility than ever.
