PluralEyes for Avid Media Composer ships and syncs

Singular Software made the announcement just the other day that their flagship product PluralEyes has been released for Avid Media Composer. As we all know PluralEyes is automagic software that "listens" to the audio of clips in an edit timeline and then attempts to automatically sync them. I say attempts but I’ve had great luck with it syncing some very difficult things and the Avid version seems to work quite well. PluralEyes for Media Composer is on sale for $119 until February 21.

Capture One 6.1 released with upgraded lighting

Phase One has released a new version of Capture One, their photography workflow software. Capture One captures, sorts and edit photos, in a similar way as Lightroom or Aperture, but with a stronger emphasis on a professional audience. Version 6.1 adds support for pressure and eraser functions when using a drawing tablet.

Last year was a wonderful one for 3D. In terms of worldwide and domestic box-office grosses, six of the top-10 movies released in 2010 were in 3D. And by year’s end there were almost two dozen models of integrated 3D cameras and camcorders and literally dozens of models of two-camera 3D rigs.

If you prefer recording your video and audio separately, because your device's audio feature leaves a lot to be desired, DualEyes is just for you. It takes video clips with poor native audio and high quality audio recordings and synchronizes them, enabling you to use the footage with almost any video-editing software.
