Blackmagic Design has announced a free update to version 10.1 for their DaVinci Resolve. It adds the support for Final Cut Pro 10.1, but the list of changes is quite substantial - there is plenty of new editing and 3D stereoscopic features. What's interesting is how much Resolve is becoming an independent editing application. Is it possible that Blackmagic would like to compete with other NLEs in the future?
