A film or TV set employing a tapeless workflow is pretty common. Social Network was filmed on RED MX cameras and just won an Oscar. Tons of TV shows incorporate digital technologies like Arri Alexa, Sony’s line of HD Cams or even Canon DSLRs. Almost all web-based projects are made on HVXs or DSLRs. Tape is becoming obsolete but the new digital workflow comes with some caveats.
