Avid Media Composer when outputting the AAF takes the populated metadata in the "Tape" column and uses this for the "Reel Name" at the Edit Index Events in Resolve. This might be a bit tricky to observe, Resolve uses Dynamic "Reel Names" with linked media clips. Dynamic Reel Names means, if the Media Pool clips are reconformed (actively linked, seeing video in the Resolve Timeline) in the Edit Index Events, then updating the "Reel Name" for the the clip in the Media Pool should ripple to the "Re...
