It is with a heavy heart that we announce we will no longer be updating Aotg.com. Back in 2007, when we started, there was a lack of access to information about film, television, and commercial editing. We wanted to fix that by creating a central location for content about editing to be stored.

Since then, we've watched the amount of content about editing on the internet grow exponentially. We've also watched social media tools come and go with that growth. Does anyone remember Google Wave!? These social media tools changed how people access and search for media and information. People tend to turn to Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, and Instagram for their news and information, and those are all great tools to promote your sites, but as a site that aggregates links to other sites for users, it just doesn't work for us.

We will keep the site live but archive the ability to add links and comments. We will keep our database live with the links for those who desire to use it to search for editing information and research.

Our podcast, The Cutting Room, will move over to the Filmmakeru.com website and will continue to be a place for interviews with editors and other film professionals.

Everyone who worked for Aotg.com loved what we created and are proud that we could help so many editors find content that spoke to them.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the various post events worldwide in the coming years!

BAB Completed Using DaVinci Resolve Studio

Blackmagic Design today announced that the new thriller “BAB” was shot exclusively using the URSA Mini Pro digital cinema camera. The film, which premiered at the recent 2020 focused Nightmare Film Festival and won Best Overall Feature and Best Cinematography at the festival, completed color correction and VFX work using DaVinci Resolve Studio as well.

Blackmagic Design today announced that the new psychological thriller “Huracán” was shot using a Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 4.6K digital film camera. Premiering this month on HBO and available to stream on HBO Max, the film was also graded with DaVinci Resolve Studio.

Blackmagic Design today announced that the acclaimed Chilean docuseries “Gente de la Tierra” was shot using a number of its digital film cameras, including the Pocket Cinema Camera 6K and Pocket Cinema Camera 4K shooting in Blackmagic RAW. The series was also finished in DaVinci Resolve Studio.

Blackmagic Design today announced that C&I Studios, a global content creation agency, is using DaVinci Resolve 16 Studio’s new cut page for faster than ever editing. Relying on DaVinci Resolve 16 Studio for end to end post production, including editing, color grading, visual effects (VFX) and Fairlight audio, C&I Studios created a video for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts showcasing one of its signature programs, Turnaround Arts.

Blackmagic Design today announced that Canada based Echo Bay Media used two Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4Ks and a Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro on the all new Science Channel series, “Legends of the Deep.” The Pocket Cinema Camera 4Ks captured underwater shots for the aquatic series, and then DaVinci Resolve Studio was used for the final color grade by Marc Bachli of Sim Post Toronto.

Blackmagic Design announced today that the latest music video from Panic! At The Disco titled “Dancing’s Not A Crime” was shot on the URSA Mini Pro and Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K using Blackmagic RAW. The video, shot by music video veteran Brandon Dermer, has become one of the fastest watched videos in the world and supports the bands hugely popular “Pray for the Wicked” world tour.
